Bonita Shirt

No embroidery, but I'm calling it done!
Yarn: Knit Picks Shine Sport in Cream, 9 balls
Notes: Not much to say about this one--it was a very straightforward knit with nice results! I think the yarn worked well (knit on size 3 US needles) and the lace pattern is simple but interesting. I opted not to do the embroidery because I think it's busy enough as it is (plus I'm not so sure about my embroidery skills). The i-cord edging is a pain, but the results are worth it:

Comfy Feet
I was getting a bit annoyed that I hadn't finished any projects lately, so I cast on for some Twinkletoes last weekend:

Notes: Yay for quick projects! This was the perfect pattern for the one ball of pink Calmer that I had lying around. I've been wearing them ever since I finished! I obviously made a few modifications, including a crochet edging and crochet ties. I also made the foot a bit longer, though it wasn't really necessary, as Calmer is so stretchy.
In other news, we saw The Music of Led Zeppelin with the Houston Symphony this weekend. It was really really really good. I was impressed. Such a weird mix of people there--regular symphony-goers and lots of people in Zeppelin tee-shirts. I highly recommend seeing the show if you are a Zeppelin fan and it comes to your town. :)

Chugging Along
The Bonita Shirt is getting there. It does fit so far--I'm not taking chances after the last frogging incident! And it's survived a missing yo and misplaced ssk thanks to this little tutorial.
I'm still trying to decide if I should try the Silk Camisole again or look for a different pattern. Any suggestions for a pattern (probably for a summer top--I don't seem to knit much else!) that could use around 700 yards of fingering/sport weight silk?
